‘Adarsh Colony’ as a reminder of Telugu Film Industry’s contribution to Hudhud Cyclone victims.
The Telugu Film fraternity got together to collect Rs. 11.75 Crore in support of those affected by the Hudhud Cyclone. Themed as ‘Memu Saitham,’ the who’s who of the industry presented the cheque to CBN yesterday.
CBN suggested them to make use of the collected funds to adopt an affected region and build an ‘Adarsh Colony’ for the victims. CBN said that 8,000-10,000 homes can be constructed with that sum, and requested the industry members to hand over homes by 12th October (the day Hudhud hit North Andhra) of next year.
